This position works in conjunction with R&D Chemists to perform the activities of the department, including timely completion of customer samples in accordance with GMP and safety guidelines. Assists R&D Chemists in daily work assignments. Cooperates with all other departments, promoting information exchange and teamwork within the department. The Compounder is responsible for the accuracy of batch formulation and compliance with company policy, GMP and safety procedures. Reports to the R&D Manager but also receives instruction from R&D Chemists. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with those inside and outside the company.

1. Accurately compounds new and/or existing products, including juice concentrates and   flavors, based on defined requirements and following specific instructions and formulas.
2. Performs all Q.C. analysis and required tests on every product compounded.
3. Ensures timely completion of assigned tasks.
4. Assists in the preparation and packing of stock samples.
5. Maintains sufficient stock of lab raw materials and supplies to fulfill customer requests.
6. Work in a fast-paced environment, walking and standing constantly throughout the day.
7. Maintains organized and clean working area.
8. Adheres to all safety procedures and policies.
9. Has regular, punctual attendance.
10. Performs other duties and special projects as required.

1. Good communication skills with proficiency in written and verbal English.
2. Proficiency in math using a calculator, including conversions and some Algebra.
3. Familiar with a lab environment and the metric system.
4. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
5. Must report to any company location according to company need.
6. Some post high school education desirable.
7. Must report to any company facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice.
